Ep. 4: Shu faces GHQ interrogation and learns of betrayal while Gai attempts a prison break.

Shu is arrested by the GHQ and held in Isolation Facility 4, remaining silent about Funeral Parlor. Segai reveals that Yahiro betrayed Shu to secure treatment for his brother, who suffered from the Apocalypse Virus. Segai justifies the GHQ's harsh measures for Japan's safety and manipulates Shu by highlighting his feelings for Inori and doubts about Gai. He discloses that the comrade Gai intends to rescue is the mass murderer Kenji Kido, causing Shu to question Gai's trustworthiness. Segai provides Shu with a transmitter to use if he encounters Gai. Later, a disguised Gai visits Shu to discuss the rescue plan, but Shu refuses involvement. Tsugumi informs them that Inori disobeyed orders to save Shu. Worried, Shu heads to rescue her, protected by Ayase's Endlave Steiner. He encounters Kenji and uses his Void, a manipulation device, to stop the GHQ Endlaves and save Inori. After the facility's destruction, Gai invites Shu to join them again. Shu reluctantly agrees but keeps the transmitter from Segai and does not inform Gai of their exchange.
