Ep. 8: Shu and the A/V Club visit Oshima for a beach retreat that masks a Funeral Parlor mission.

Shu, Inori, Hare, Souta, and Kanon travel to a beach resort on Oshima under the guise of an A/V Club outing. The trip actually serves as cover for a Funeral Parlor operation requiring Souta's Void. While enjoying the beach, Shu visits his father Dr. Kurosu Ouma's grave. Gai reveals that Kurosu was a leading expert on the Apocalypse Virus before dying during the Lost Christmas incident. Gai then outlines a mission to infiltrate a GHQ base disguised as a shrine. He suggests exploiting Souta's feelings for Inori to trigger his Void, which Shu dislikes. Later, Shu interrupts Souta's confession to Inori, drawing out the Void and embarrassing him before hidden Funeral Parlor members. Gai begins the operation prematurely. Shuichiro Keido had already infiltrated the facility using Kurosu's access card. Upon entering via Souta's Void, the team finds the target item, a meteor fragment containing the origin of the Apocalypse Virus, already stolen. Shuichiro holds the canister at Kurosu's grave, declaring he cannot be stopped. The next morning, Shu and Souta reconcile their friendship. As they depart Oshima, Inori explains how Voids shift based on relationships.
