During a shrine investigation, Edgeworth hears Bikini’s testimony regarding Elise’s murder and discovers Pearl is missing. He later meets Larry, who seems to conceal information about the night in question. For the trial, Edgeworth secures a substitute judge to protect his prosecutor identity, while Franziska replaces Godot as the prosecution. Bikini testifies, leading Edgeworth to conclude the Shichishito found near Elise was not the actual weapon. Franziska proposes that Iris used a snowmobile to dispose of the real murder weapon in the river. When Iris remains silent and refuses to defend herself, Larry decides to take the stand to provide testimony.
