After accidentally breaking a seashell given to her by Maya, Pearl asks Phoenix to help her find an identical one without Maya knowing. Phoenix assists her in locating the original beach, where Pearl recalls how Maya defied Morgan's authority to take her there and present the shell. At the beach's shrine, they encounter Maya, who reveals the shell was originally given to her by Mia during her first visit. This discovery deepens Pearl's guilt. Phoenix then discovers the item is actually a ramen shop bowl and offers a replacement, but Pearl chooses to keep the broken one to preserve the memories it holds.
