Ep. 9: Phoenix uncovers the truth behind the staged reenactment and Tigre's motive for murder.
Aired on December 1, 2018

Phoenix Wright questions Armstrong’s inconsistent testimony, suspecting the murder witnessed by Kido was staged after the actual crime. Armstrong admits to hiding Elg’s body and participating in the cover-up. Tigre is called to testify, with documents from Viola placing him at the scene. Phoenix deduces Tigre killed Elg to steal a virus for Viola’s medical bills, but Elg’s lottery win removed that need. Tigre then stole the virus and had Viola help frame Maggey. Lacking concrete proof, Phoenix bluffs about evidence from Gumshoe, tricking Tigre into confessing. This maneuver exposes the truth, leading to Maggey Wright being declared innocent of the crime.
