Gumshoe reports seeing Gale's corpse and a soul, but Phoenix clarifies the vision was a fire caused by train car rearrangement. He deduces the body in Car 1 was fake and Gale was actually killed in Car 3 during dinner, suspecting Turnbull and Rick. Rick admits stealing a gun with Richman's fingerprints to frame himself for Cashanova's murder, which Gale committed. Edgeworth confirms Turnbull's involvement via the committee. Turnbull confesses to killing Gale during a blackmail attempt and creating the fake scenario. After Richman is declared not guilty, he plans to die in the dining car, but the committee offers a fair retrial, convincing him to survive.
