Ep. 13: Phoenix Wright defends against Doug Swallow murder charge linked to Dahlia Hawthorne
Aired on January 19, 2019

Five years ago, Phoenix Wright faces murder charges for the electrocution of Doug Swallow. Mia Fey represents him, countering prosecutor Payne’s claim that Phoenix killed Swallow over his ex-girlfriend, Dahlia Hawthorne. Mia identifies a ten-minute discrepancy in the timeline, connecting the case to an eight-month-old poisoning incident where Dahlia was a suspect. She deduces the poison came from a pendant Phoenix received from Dahlia on that day. When Phoenix swallows the pendant to protect Dahlia, Mia presses him for the truth. Phoenix reveals Swallow admitted Dahlia stole poison previously. Mia concludes Dahlia intended to kill Phoenix via his medicine to retrieve the pendant, proving her guilt and Phoenix’s innocence.
