Ep. 15: Armstrong reveals Scar's Ishbalan identity while Marcoh recounts the state alchemist massacre.

During combat, Armstrong discloses that Scar is an Ishbalan alchemist. Marcoh explains the Ishbal massacre to the Elrics, detailing how state alchemists targeted Ishbalans who considered alchemy heretical. He admits his research caused massive casualties. Mustang permits Marcoh to desert after being forced to kill two doctors saving lives on both sides. These doctors are revealed to be Winry's parents. Marcoh declines to flee to Resembool with the Elrics. Scar attacks the group, destroying Ed's arm and damaging Al's body. Before Scar can kill Ed, Marcoh throws a red stone at him, causing painful absorption into his tattooed arm. Scar escapes into the sewers amid military reinforcements, while Marcoh is taken to a safe location by the Führer's secretary.
