Ep. 12: Mugear captures the Tringham brothers while the Elrics investigate Nash Tringham's past research.

Mugear demands the Tringham brothers accelerate crimson stone production, but Russell refuses. Mugear captures them upon realizing they are impostors. Meanwhile, the Elrics discover Nash Tringham originally found the crimson water before leaving due to a disease from his research. They also learn Tim Marcoh treated the illness with a mysterious method. Mugear invites the Elrics to research the water further. After freeing the Tringham brothers, the group confronts Mugear about Nash. Mugear attacks but is overpowered and flees underground, collapsing the passage and flooding the area with crimson water. Fletcher uses alchemy to make trees absorb the water, neutralizing the threat. Edward and Alphonse bid farewell to Russell and Fletcher before boarding a train for East City.
