The Elrics and Armstrong return to Resembool, where Pinako agrees to repair Ed within three days. Armstrong assists Winry and Pinako during the recovery period. The brothers visit their mother's tombstone, reflecting on childhood memories. Al expresses concern about fading memories, but Armstrong alleviates the tension. After receiving his new arm and leg, Ed uses alchemy to reconstruct Al's armored body from the shattered remains. Following these repairs, the brothers and Armstrong depart for Central to locate Marcoh's research.
