Ep. 18: Elric brothers decipher coded notes to learn philosopher's stone requires human lives

Lust searches for Marcoh's research in the state library before encountering Scar, who realizes she and Gluttony are homunculi as the building burns. The Elrics meet their new bodyguards, Sergeant Denny Brosh and 2nd Lt. Maria Ross, shortly after discovering the library branch destroyed. They conduct an exhaustive search for other sources, leading them to Sheska, a former file clerk fired for excessive reading. Sheska reveals she has memorized all of Marcoh's works and creates handwritten duplicates for the brothers. The text uses a code resembling a cookbook. After several days of attempting to decipher the hidden data, the brothers discover that producing the philosopher's stone requires human lives.
