Ep. 16: The Elrics Reach Central While Ling Faces Arrest and Mustang Conceals Hughes' Death

Edward, Alphonse, and Winry reach Central, where Ling is detained for illegal immigration. Sheska inadvertently leaks Mustang details to Envy, who is disguised as Captain Focker. Armstrong tells Mustang he failed to inform the Elric brothers about Hughes' death. Mustang lies, claiming Hughes retired, but the truth emerges when the group meets Ross. Winry also discovers the reality after visiting Gracia and Elicia. Edward and Alphonse arrive to apologize, with Edward blaming himself for the murder. Gracia urges them to move forward despite her grief. Meanwhile, Envy devises a scheme to halt Mustang's investigation. The following day, Ross is arrested by Colonel Henry Douglas as a suspect in Hughes' murder.
