Ep. 22: Ling battles Bradley and Gluttony while Winry confronts Scar over her parents' death.
Ling engages Bradley and Gluttony during his escape attempt with Lan Fan. Winry learns of the Elric brothers fighting Scar and arrives to find Edward questioning him about her parents' deaths. Shocked, Winry aims a gun at Scar, who then recalls his brother researching alchemy against state alchemists. Solf J. Kimblee, the Crimson Alchemist, attacked them, severing Scar's right arm. His brother sacrificed himself to transfer his arm to Scar. Waking to this, Scar killed Winry's parents in a berserk state. Edward protects Winry, interrupting Scar and reminding him of his brother's sacrifice. Edward consoles the traumatized Winry while Alphonse pursues Scar. Edward gently convinces Winry to lower her weapon, stating her hands are meant to create life, not take it.
