The Shinsegumi observe Sannan’s recovery from a severe reaction to medicine, attempting to conceal his condition from Itou. The incident prompts a significant revelation for Chizuru. During a patrol, she and the soldiers rescue a young woman who resembles Chizuru and continues to dress as a boy. Subsequently, the Shinsengumi assume guard duty for the Shōgun’s visit. Three strangers identifying themselves as "Oni" attempt to kidnap Chizuru during this period. The group works to protect her amidst the heightened security and the mysterious actions of these intruders.
