Meanwhile, Hijikata and Shinpachi engage in a confrontation. The Shinsengumi receive troubling news from the Bakufu, leading to an assignment that yields an unpleasant and unsettling surprise. Despite these challenges, the group celebrates their successful mission with the reward money. This celebration culminates in a rowdy night out where Chizuru is finally dressed in female attire. Concurrently, Sen-hime receives a report regarding these events.
