Following the graduation of Koyomi Araragi and Hitagi Senjougahara, Suruga Kanbaru enters her third year of high school. She continues to struggle with her left hand, which was transformed into a monstrous state by her mother's monkey paw charm. After hearing rumors from Ougi about a "Devil" capable of solving any problem, Suruga begins a search for this individual. She harbors a secret fear that she herself might be the Devil. However, she eventually discovers that the Devil is actually Rouka Numachi, her former basketball rival from junior high school.

Upon arrival, she unexpectedly encounters Deishu Kaiki, who appears to hold the key to her questions. This journey marks a significant shift as Suruga moves from personal adjustment to actively investigating the mysterious events surrounding her recovery and the vanished entities involved.
