Yuuichi inherits Tada’s pornographic magazines, causing Rika to react with fury and pranks. After Rika locks him on a hospital roof, Yuuichi falls ill and becomes a patient of Dr. Natsume, who recently returned from vacation. Akiko facilitates an apology opportunity, but Yuuichi learns Natsume has monitored Rika for six years. Natsume is surprised Rika shared her illness, as she never made friends. He provides a magazine, which Rika catches Yuuichi reading, leading to him being locked out again. Akiko realizes Natsume orchestrated this for entertainment. Although Rika and Yuuichi reconcile, Yuuichi insults the doctor when Rika attributes her apology to his influence. Rika throws her prized book, which belonged to her father, onto a window ledge.
