Yuuichi rescues a book from rain with Tsukasa, resulting in a fever dream that becomes reality when Rika visits. Upon recovery, he burns Tada's pornography at Dr. Natsume's surprise, claiming Rika demands it for forgiveness. Rika lends him Night on the Galactic Railroad, while Dr. Natsume warns her mother of her worsening condition. A drunken Dr. Natsume later attacks Yuuichi, predicting their friendship will fail. Yuuichi dismisses this as jealousy but later understands the truth after reading about Campanella's death in the book, realizing the tragic fate awaiting Rika.
