Ep. 23: The Three Princesses Strike Back
At the airport, Osamu Kirin discusses Towa’s transfer with Souta and Mei, noting her use of a fake illness. Moe returns from an orchestra contest, prompting Kirin to mention a comet visible only every 500 years, which normal humans cannot see. Flashbacks show Kirinmaru observing the same comet in the feudal era. In the present, Towa and Setsuna recruit Mohoha to fight Zero. They track her to the palace where Toga died, where Riku defends his master. Riku reveals he gathered all Rainbow Pearls before Zero, who retrieves them to restore her powers. Setsuna exploits Zero’s anger, striking her with an awakened blood blade. Zero reveals her life is tied to Rin’s, but Sesshoumaru revives her with Tenseiga. Enraged, Zero breaks the sword and vows to kill Towa and Setsuna, demanding the pearls back from Riku as Kirinmaru appears.
