Oct 3, 2020Towa Higurashi refuses to reveal information from the future to a feudal lord, fearing it will alter the past. The narrative shifts to several years ago, where Kagome lives in the feudal era with Inuyasha and their friends. Inuyasha and Miroku encounter the Root Head, a demon sealed by Kikyō decades ago. The demon attacks Kagome, who is unknown to it, but Inuyasha destroys it, leaving a small fragment alive. Returning to the present, Towa is rescued by her twin sister Setsuna and first cousin Moroha. They identify the lord attendant as the ayakashi Yotsume in disguise and pursue it. Before leaving, Towa confiscates the book and the bicycle seat part.

She requests they stop Kirinmaru, a rival of their grandfather, and Sesshoumaru, who has renounced his title. The Spirit demands they kill both simultaneously, but Setsuna refuses while Towa chooses to meet Sesshoumaru. They defeat Root Head and arrive in the past, greeted by Kaede, Kohaku, and Hisui. Towa realizes they cannot return without Root Head. Meanwhile, the Spirit watches Rin in suspended animation, warning Sesshoumaru that she will never awaken if he forsakes her.

They are blocked by Fubuki, an ice demon serving Kyuuki. Towa spots Fubuki’s true body, signals Moroha to attack, and destroys the enemy. Moroha and Setsuna then storm the castle to free Towa and pursue Yotsume.

Their dreams reveal past secrets: Moroha was given to Hachiemon by Kagome, Takechiyo was entrusted to Jyuubei by Miroku, and Setsuna's memories were sent to the Sacred Tree of Ages. Unable to sleep, Setsuna destroys Yotsume. Kyuuki reclaims the Pearl and drains Towa and Moroha's energy. Setsuna fights alone until Moroha reminds Towa of her ability to steal demonic energy. Towa uses this power to defeat Kyuuki with the Souryuuha attack inherited from her father. Towa discovers that Konton drained demonic energy from the shell to power his armor. By returning the shell, Konton loses his protection and flees. Meifuku recovers the remains, while the girls regret missing the bounty and a humiliated Konton vows revenge from his new cavern.

Setsuna exploits Zero’s anger, striking her with an awakened blood blade. Zero reveals her life is tied to Rin’s, but Sesshoumaru revives her with Tenseiga.
