Ep. 13: Towa and Setsuna confront Zero's past while Kirinmaru pursues Akuru's time powers.
Awakened by fury, Towa attacks Zero, who has absorbed seven Rainbow Pearls. Kirinmaru chases Akuru for his time-manipulating pinwheel. At the Sacred Tree of Ages, Sesshoumaru gives the Black Pearl to Moroha. Setsuna arrives and uses a Dream Butterfly from Rin to show Towa the truth: she accidentally left Setsuna behind a decade ago, leading Rin to erase her memory. Towa and Setsuna reconcile. Zero, realizing Towa’s love, prepares to die with Rin. Setsuna cuts the fate thread linking Zero to the Great Dog-Demon, revealing Zero’s guilt over his death. Toga’s spirit comforts her. Zero severs her link to Rin before Riku kills her. She explains Kirinmaru’s hatred stems from Sakasa killing Rion. The silver-scale curse lifts, freeing Rin. Moroha hopes to meet her parents. Kirinmaru steals the Black Pearl, forcing Moroha to choose between saving her parents or retrieving Akuru’s pinwheel.
