Ep. 16: The Three Princesses Escape
Rin and Jaken bring a weakening Sesshoumaru to the Sacred Tree of Ages while Shippo reunites with Sango in the demon-slayer village. Sango realizes the Black Hiaraikotsu must be used after learning Inuyasha and Kagome were trapped in the Black Pearl. Towa, Setsuna, and Moroha combine their power to extract Tenseiga from its pedestal, escaping the Border of the Afterlife to meet Shippo. Moroha stores the Black Pearl in her grandmother's rouge to preserve precious memories. Rin finally meets Towa, while Jaken warns of Sesshoumaru's critical condition. Towa uses the Kyuuyoukon Root in Zanseiken to absorb the Demon Fireball's energy, ignoring Sesshoumaru's pleas to stop. Despite her father's warnings and severe physical pain, Towa continues until she collapses unconscious, horrifying Rin.
