Ep. 9: Riku Uses Hand Cream to Fix Eyes While Setsuna Helps Mayonaka Find Peace
Riku applies Towa's lavender-scented hand cream to repair his damaged eyes, changing their color from dark green to light lavender. He believes this advantage prevents Kirinmaru from tracking them. At Mamidaira Island, Moroha suffers defeat against two-rouge raccoon-dogs despite claiming her evolved Beniyasha form is superior. Meanwhile, Takechiyo and Hachi hide in a cave while Moroha sleeps after using her late grandmother's shell rouge. In Gokoku Village, the Demon-Slayers seek to calm the Flame Bulls and appease Mayonaka. Setsuna discovers Mayonaka was deceived by villagers and Oharu, the headman's daughter whom he loved. To help him move on, she uses Yukari no Tachikiri to sever his golden fate thread from the Blessing of the Five Grains. The thread reveals Oharu's long-dead body, shocking Mayonaka. He embraces her spirit and departs for the Afterlife. As the group leaves, Setsuna feels a strange sensation.
