Ep. 10: Maria fixes a recorder and recalls Hakuō Academy days while Hayate and Maria fake a date to deter Linn.

Shiori repairs a tape recorder for Yukiji and reminisces about her time at Hakuō Academy seven years prior. She recalls being impressed by student council president Maria’s academic prowess and cuteness, but Maria accidentally destroys a video showcasing these traits to hide them. Meanwhile, at the Sanzenin Mansion, Maria finds a love letter addressed to Hayate. Hayate intends to reject it, but Nagi sends a harsh reply, prompting the sender to respond with a terrifying message that frightens Hayate. Nagi orchestrates a fake date between Hayate and Maria to repel the sender, who is revealed to be Linn. Linn becomes enraged upon seeing them together. Hayate and Maria awkwardly try on various outfits while Ayumu and Hinagiku follow, believing the date is genuine. They visit an aquarium where Linn fails to interfere. When Ayumu and Hinagiku question the relationship, Hayate and Maria claim it is imaginary. As evening falls, Maria expresses hope of finding a boyfriend like Hayate.
