Ep. 2: Issei Discovers His Past and Challenges Xenovia to Protect Asia

Ddraig informs Issei about Albion, the Vanishing Dragon. At school, Sona observes strangers wielding a Holy Sword. Issei learns he was a failed subject of the Holy Sword Project who escaped execution. He and Asia encounter these strangers, including Issei’s childhood friend Irina Shidou, speaking with his mother. The following day, Irina and Xenovia arrive at the Occult Research Club to retrieve stolen Excalibur swords independently of the devils. Xenovia discovers Asia is condemned as a witch and attempts to execute her. Enraged by this threat, Issei challenges Xenovia to a duel, with Kiba pursuing them.
