Issei's Dragon Arm Awakens and Kiba Discovers His Past With Excalibur
Jul 7, 2013Following a busy morning, Issei’s Dragon arm activates, requiring Akeno to remove the power. While reviewing photos, Kiba discovers an image of Issei with a friend that includes a Holy Sword. After Issei finishes a contract, the group is tasked with eliminating a Stray Devil at an abandoned factory, which they successfully defeat. Kiba remains evasive regarding Rias’s inquiries about his behavior. He later confesses to Issei that he seeks revenge against the Holy Sword Excalibur. Issei learns that Kiba was the sole survivor of a project named The Holy Sword Project. Meanwhile, Kiba witnesses Freed kill a priest while wielding Excalibur, sparking a confrontation. Simultaneously, two strangers arrive in town, one holding a copy of the photo from Issei’s album.

Issei Discovers His Past and Challenges Xenovia to Protect Asia
Jul 14, 2013Ddraig informs Issei about Albion, the Vanishing Dragon. At school, Sona observes strangers wielding a Holy Sword. Issei learns he was a failed subject of the Holy Sword Project who escaped execution. He and Asia encounter these strangers, including Issei’s childhood friend Irina Shidou, speaking with his mother. The following day, Irina and Xenovia arrive at the Occult Research Club to retrieve stolen Excalibur swords independently of the devils. Xenovia discovers Asia is condemned as a witch and attempts to execute her. Enraged by this threat, Issei challenges Xenovia to a duel, with Kiba pursuing them.

Jul 21, 2013After being defeated by Xenovia and Irina, Issei and Kiba learn from Rias that Fallen Angel Leader Kokabiel stole the Excalibur swords. Frustrated by his loss, Kiba leaves the Occult Research Club, prompting Issei to devise a plan for revenge. With Koneko’s assistance, Issei coerces Saji into joining them as they search for the two swordswomen. Upon finding Xenovia and Irina, the group forms an alliance to retrieve the stolen blades. Issei provides an Excalibur sword for Kiba to destroy, moving Kiba to accept their support. That night, the team gathers to execute their plan, while a mysterious young man appears beside Issei's client.

A Strong Enemy Appeared!
Jul 28, 2013Issei’s team locates Freed at an abandoned warehouse, where Kiba’s duel is turned by Valper Galilei until Xenovia and Irina arrive. Freed and Valper escape, prompting a chase interrupted by Rias, Sona, Akeno, and Tsubaki, resulting in punishment for Issei and Saji. Later, the group finds an injured Irina, whom Tsubaki takes to the Sitri residence. Freed reappears with four Excalibur swords, including Irina’s stolen Mimic, and introduces his boss, Kokabiel, a Fallen Angel leader. Kokabiel plans to ignite a Great War by targeting Kuoh Academy Devils to provoke the Satans. After a diversionary attack, Issei’s group returns to school for the impending battle, while Valper and Freed undergo an unknown ceremony inside a magic circle, observed by Kiba and Xenovia.

Kuou Academy Battle: Rias Team Fights Kokabiel and Valper
Aug 4, 2013Sona’s team creates a barrier around Kuou Academy as Rias and her group prepare to face Kokabiel, Freed, and Valper. Kokabiel summons Cerberus demons, which the Gremory Team defeats with Xenovia’s aid. Meanwhile, Valper fuses four Excaliburs and activates a self-destruct circle set for twenty minutes. Rias and Akeno fail against Kokabiel’s powers. Kiba confronts Valper, learns the truth of the Holy Sword Project, and achieves his Balance Breaker with friends’ help. He and Xenovia destroy the Fused Excalibur. After defeating Freed, Kiba tries to kill Valper, but Kokabiel mortally wounds Kiba. Kokabiel reveals that Issei can transfer his power to anyone as Issei prepares to give his power to Rias.

Aug 11, 2013Issei transfers his Boosted Gear powers to Rias, but both she and Akeno are overwhelmed by Kokabiel. Kokabiel mocks Rias by revealing Akeno is the daughter of Fallen Angel Cadre member Baraqiel. Enraged, Issei attempts to attack, while Kiba, Xenovia, and Koneko try to buy him time but fail. Kokabiel shocks Xenovia by claiming the Four Great Satans and God died in the previous Great War. Issei declares his dream of becoming a Harem King, inspiring his friends to fight again. The battle is interrupted when a stranger destroys the school field's barrier. Identifying himself as the White Dragon Emperor Albion, he defeats Kokabiel, disables the school's self-destruct spell, and removes Kokabiel and Freed from the area. Sona and her team repair the school, and Kiba reaffirms his loyalty to Rias. The following day, reincarnated Devil Xenovia joins the Occult Research Club and reconciles with Asia. Issei later plays a video game with his client, who reveals himself to be Fallen Angel Leader Azazel.

Issei escapes and meets Xenovia, who desires a child with him, until Rias and others intervene. Sirzechs and Grayfia arrive to greet Rias and investigate a three-faction meeting location. Sirzechs visits Issei’s parents and stays in his room. The next day, Rias guides the guests while Asia visits Xenovia, leaving Issei to attend school alone. On his way, Issei encounters Vali, the White Dragon Emperor.

Aug 25, 2013Vali confronts Issei, warning that his group lacks the strength to defeat Kokabiel, and advises Rias to nurture Issei before departing. Issei later consults Ddraig about the sealing of the two Heavenly Dragons. At Kuoh Academy, Xenovia’s lack of common sense causes comedic trouble, while Rias, Akeno, Sona, and Tsubaki discuss the Vali encounter and an upcoming class observation. Issei, Rias, and Akeno investigate noise in the gymnasium, encountering Serafall Leviathan, the current Devil King and Sona’s older sister, whose behavior embarrasses Sona. Later, Sirzechs watches a video of the observation with Issei’s father. Rias becomes embarrassed and leaves, but Issei invites her to his room for an intimate moment until Asia and Sirzechs interrupt. Sirzechs grants Rias permission to unseal her second Bishop, acknowledging her improved control due to recent events and peerage expansion.

Sep 1, 2013The Occult Research Club opens a locked door in their clubhouse to find Gasper Vladi, a boy in a female school uniform. Rias, Akeno, and Kiba depart to prepare for the Three Factions meeting, leaving the group to train Gasper. Azazel visits the school yard to advise Saji, Issei, and Gasper on control before leaving. Attempts to train Gasper in the gymnasium fail as he retreats again. Issei eventually helps Gasper open up until Kiba, Koneko, Asia, and Xenovia arrive. He and Akeno discuss her mixed heritage, strengthening their bond until a jealous Rias interrupts and takes him away. Issei returns to school to assist Gasper, who improves his power control. During the conference, Rias and her servants attend the meeting room, leaving Koneko and Gasper behind. The Three Factions gather, with Azazel and Vali representing Fallen Angels, Michael representing Angels, and Sirzechs and Serafall representing Devils. Meanwhile, a group of mysterious individuals approaches Gasper and Koneko while they wait in the Occult Research Clubroom.

The gathering is interrupted when time freezes and Gasper is abducted by Magicians. Vali eliminates the attackers outside, while Issei joins Rias to rescue Gasper using her Rook piece for castling. Azazel provides Issei with bracelets to manage their Sacred Gears. Katerea Leviathan assaults the leaders, engaging Azazel. Kiba, Xenovia, and Irina assist against the Magicians as Grayfia analyzes their magic circle. Issei and Rias locate Gasper and Koneko, where Issei enables Gasper to control his powers through blood sharing before they depart together.

Issei absorbs Divine Dividing power into his Boosted Gear, significantly increasing his strength to damage Vali. Bikou intervenes to flee with Vali before a counterattack. Issei then asks Michael to let Asia and Xenovia pray without pain. Later, Kiba and Gasper master their Sacred Gears at Sirzechs' request. Azazel becomes the Occult Research Club advisor and informs the group that Sirzechs ordered Rias's peerage girls to move into the Hyodo Residence. Rias subsequently asks Sirzechs to renovate the house.
