Yuda and his gang return to the village, capturing Mamiya to force Rei into a duel. Yuda confesses long-standing resentment stemming from their shared training, where Rei’s graceful Nanto Suichouken style appeared more beautiful than his own Nanto Koukakuken. After losing the match, Yuda orders his men to destroy a nearby dam, flooding the village and turning the ground into mud.
