Raoh contemplates Souther's rising power and his imperial ambitions in the desert. Souther's Hyenas attempt to capture Bat and Lin, but a stranger intervenes. In a village, Kenshiro learns that Souther is kidnapping children for his mausoleum. Ken rescues more children from Hyena troops, only to be surrounded. Rebel forces led by Shu, a blind martial artist and one of the Six Sacred Fists of Nanto Seiken, decimate the Hyenas. Shu challenges Ken but is defeated by his superior strength. Bat and Lin reveal that Shu had previously saved them. Ken extends a hand of friendship to Shu, ending the conflict.
