During the examination, wrestler Todo openly criticizes Menchi and the other Gourmet Hunters. Netero, who serves as both the head examiner and the president of the Hunter Association, arrives at the scene. He requests that Menchi provide all candidates with another opportunity to proceed. The test takers are then tasked with collecting spider eagle eggs. Through this process, Todo gains a newfound respect for the Gourmet Hunters. Consequently, he vows to return and retake the test at a later date. This event occurs within the Hunter Exam arc on the date 10/31.
