The examination group proceeds to stage 2 of the test, where they must satisfy the culinary demands of Gourmet Hunters Buhara and Menchi. All participants successfully prepare BBQ pork that meets Buhara's specific taste preferences. However, none of the examinees are able to create sushi that satisfies Menchi's high standards. Consequently, Menchi declares that all candidates have failed this stage of the evaluation. This event occurs during the Hunter Exam arc, specifically episode 9 out of 31.
