Gon battles Sedokan in a contest to determine whose candle burns the longest. Although Gon receives a candle that burns rapidly, its resistance to wind allows him to drop it and extinguish Sedokan’s flame. Meanwhile, Kurapika fights Majitani in a deadly encounter. Upon seeing red, Kurapika knocks the criminal unconscious but chooses not to kill him, ending the confrontation without taking a life.
