Ep. 8: Ririchiyo seeks friendship with Soushi by observing peers and attempting to invite him for coffee

Ririchiyo desires a bond with Soushi similar to the camaraderie between tenants and their agents, yet struggles to express her true feelings or understand his background. She watches Karuta and Watanuki’s interactions at school to gain insight into such relationships. Hoping to connect, she attempts to invite Sōshi for coffee but fails in her initial efforts. After several unsuccessful tries, she finally calls him over under a cherry blossom tree. There, she explicitly states that they should consider each other friends and invites him to drink coffee in her room the following evening, marking a step toward the connection she wishes to establish.
