Aoi shares his history with a golden fish that won an elementary school art competition. Yamabuki shows Hitomi a photo, which makes Asagi jealous and determined to be seen as a woman. The next day, Kurumi organizes a formal photo shoot. Hitomi accidentally enters Aoi's drawing, witnessing a golden fish in a nightline scene before the environment shifts to a wasteland with a dead fish in a net. She tries to stop a shadowy figure from capturing a smaller fish, then wakes up on a bench. Aoi snaps at her, causing friction. They later meet; Aoi chases Hitomi to a bus stop and promises to show his latest work. This reawakens the golden fish, and Hitomi realizes her sense of color has returned.
