She assists him and begins to develop romantic feelings. Unbeknownst to both Ruby and Pink, Kaiser has arranged a trap for them. The narrative highlights the interactions between the girls and the disguised antagonist as he executes his scheme against them.

The next morning, Ruby is upset because the residents of Jewel Town did not receive any presents. Riding the DecoBus to the Decoristmas Mountains, the two friends ponder their wishes. They discover that Peridot is actually DecoSanta, but she dislikes the role. Peridot is currently trapped while searching for a mysterious object known as the Ice Egg, leaving the holiday in disarray.
