After being rescued from bullying by Nishida Shin, who teaches him kendo, Yukawa transforms from a timid boy into a confident and happy individual. This positive change ends his harassment. However, the dynamic shifts when a violent incident occurs on a bus involving a deranged man attacking another passenger. Nishida chooses not to intervene, citing fear for Yukawa's safety, which deeply disappoints him. Yukawa feels betrayed by his mentor's inaction and sends him to Hell in his mind. Concluding that personal change cannot alter the world, Yukawa abandons kendo and returns to his previous shy and passive demeanor.
