The group is dispatched to mid 19th century Paris, France, to find the Time Shifter Artie. Concurrently, Petra Fina obtains a portrait of the Dark Lord. Upon arrival, the team discovers Artie with a young Auguste Rodin, who has utilized Artie's abilities to bring his sketches to life. Petra Fina and her associates subsequently arrive and brainwash Artie. Flint, aided by Lynx, engages in a confrontation with the brainwashed Artie-Con. This sequence involves the team navigating the historical setting while dealing with the immediate threat posed by the antagonist's manipulation of Artie's powers and the resulting conflict with Petra Fina's faction.
