Misaki finds another BL book featuring himself and Usami, which upsets him and angers Usami until Usami's editor, Aikawa, arrives to address deadline issues. Sumi-senpai speculates that Usami and Aikawa are in a relationship, triggering intense jealousy in Misaki and causing him to question the authenticity of his own feelings. After Usami departs with Aikawa, Misaki consumes chocolates gifted by Aikawa, only to discover they are filled with liquor. This leads to him becoming tipsy and falling asleep while cuddling Usami's shirt. In this state, Misaki confesses his love to Usami, but the following day, he refuses to acknowledge those words.
