The following day, Hiroki finds Nowaki gone with a note saying 'I'll be back,' which causes him further distress. Unable to endure the uncertainty of his importance to Nowaki, Hiroki leaves a breakup note, moves, and changes all his phone numbers. When Nowaki visits Hiroki's office to reason with him, Hiroki refuses to engage despite his lingering love, ordering him to leave. Nowaki promises to wait at their usual restaurant at 7. However, he sees Miyagi enter the office, jokingly calling Hiroki 'my sweet honey,' leading Nowaki to wrongly conclude they are lovers.
