Jiyu rests injured in the forest as Ayunosuke tends to her wounds, while Sai blames himself for her disappearance. Freesia exploits Sai’s guilt by maintaining a facade of a model daughter, though she remains haunted by events at Hontsuru Castle. To damage Jiyu’s reputation, Freesia lies about her absence. Meanwhile, Ayunosuke urges Jiyu to accept the Eyepatch, but Jiyu refuses, claiming her task is complete. Distraught, Ayunosuke runs away and transforms into a 300-year-old body.
