Ep. 5: The Light Music Club Secures an Advisor Through Blackmail and Vocal Struggles

The light music club lacks official recognition because they failed to submit required paperwork months ago and have not yet secured an adviser. The members approach music teacher Sawako Yamanaka for the role, but she initially declines. The situation changes when it is revealed that Sawako was formerly a member of the previous light music club and enjoyed death metal. Ritsu exploits this information to blackmail Sawako into accepting the position. The group still requires a vocalist and lyricist, so Mio composes a track titled "Light and Fluffy Time." Although Ritsu objects, the song is approved. Mio feels too shy to perform, leading Yui to volunteer, but she struggles to sing while playing the guitar. Sawako provides training to help Yui manage both tasks, yet Yui ultimately loses her voice. With only three days remaining before the school festival, Mio is forced to take on the vocal duties herself.
