Ep. 17: The Science Ninja Team confronts Kabutoron's brain-wave destruction scheme in the city.

Kabutoron exploits children's destructive brain waves to destroy the city after they find rare stag beetles. These insects grow large, pulling the children inside to fly and cause chaos. Ken spots an attack on a nuclear plant but stops firing when he sees a child inside the monster. The team locates a hidden base in ancient ruins where an operation to transfer children's brains into Kabutoron is underway. Jinpei is nearly saved by Ken and Jun as a drill touches his head. With Joe's assistance, the rest of the children are rescued. The team boards the God Phoenix, which is bombed by Red Impulse, causing Kabutoron and the base to explode.
