An aurora emits strange radio waves that cause people to act erratically and cause accidents. Ryu and Nambu are affected, with Ryu exhibiting cat-like brain waves and Nambu attempting to destroy the Crescent Coral self-destruct mechanism. After Joe punches Nambu, Ken and Joe take Ryu to the impact site. Joe punches Ryu, causing an electrical shock that restores his personality. The team realizes they must destroy the wave source since Nambu's brain waves fluctuate. The God Phoenix is mobilized to find the aurora, leading to a battle with Thundersaurus. Jun sets up an installation to exploit the mecha's increasing voltage. A rocket fails, but the blind shell explodes due to the voltage, destroying the mecha and restoring everyone to normal.
