Ep. 12: The Tamatsuka Quadruplets and the Medley Relay Crisis

On the second day of the Kantou tournament, Umishou advances through preliminaries while Amuro recalls a promise to Kaname. She encounters the Tamatsuka Academy team, led by a welcoming figure, and chases a swimmer into the locker room, only to collide with another identical girl. The Tamatsuka competitors are revealed to be quadruplets who use a choir to synchronize their performance. Ikamasa, Makio, and Amuro counter by singing the Ono Island Dance Song, disrupting the opposition. Although Shizuoka closes the gap, anchor Orizuka starts late and suffers a leg cramp. A surprise from Ikariya helps Umishou win, but Orizuka’s injury escalates to a pulled muscle, threatening her swimming career and removing her from further competition.
