Ep. 8: Orizuka faces rival Nanjou Karena while the boys sneak into the girls' club room for mahjong and exploration.
The day before the Prefectural tournament, Orizuka orders the team to rest. Ikamasa gathers the boys in the girls' club room for a meeting that is actually about playing Mahjong, as the girls are away until morning. The boys, curious about the girls' change room, explore despite Kaname's objections. Orizuka discovers them the next morning. During the tournament, Orizuka competes against her old rival Nanjou Karena from Shinomiya University High School, who has defeated her previously. Although Shinomiya has a strong team, Orizuka believes Umishou is equally strong. The boys show less enthusiasm. Umishou wins five straight events against Shinomiya. In the 100m Freestyle finals, Orizuka, Amuro, and Nanjou compete, leading Nanjou to propose a bet to add excitement to the race.
