Shinra feels distressed after her mentor criticizes her recent performance as inferior to her past work. Ren attempts to lift her spirits by inviting her on a pleasant date, while Colonel secretly helps Ren win a panda plushie by disguising himself as a custodian. However, Shinra becomes angry when Ren claims to understand her feelings, causing her to ask Colonel to drive her to rehearsal instead. Later, Ren encounters his father on the way home. Tensions rise when his father suggests that his mother’s death was somehow Ren’s fault for being born. This comment enrages Ren, leading the two to prepare for a physical confrontation.
