Chizuru and Ryuu have reconciled, and the class prepares for a Christmas party. Kazehaya invites Sawako, but she declines to honor her family's tradition of spending the entire day together. Instead, she crafts gifts for Chizuru, Ayane, and a hat for Kazehaya, though she lacks the courage to deliver it. On Christmas Eve, her enthusiastic father mistakenly believes the hat is for him, and she allows this misunderstanding to stand. Her mother answers a call from friends inviting her to the party, causing Sawako distress. Her father then presents her with a new cellphone, acknowledging her maturity and granting permission to leave. She rushes to the event, only to find the venue empty except for Kazehaya, who has waited for her in the snow.
