Hajime examines the murder of computer teacher Nanako Segawa, who was found dead in a park. Although student Yuri Mishima is arrested, Hajime suspects an exchange murder orchestrated by a mastermind. Three suspects who used Mishima’s computer lack alibis. Hajime identifies the culprit after student Rumi Nakajima attempts suicide on the rooftop to avoid accusation. Kenmochi intervenes to stop her. Hajime reveals that Mishima is a rival to Nakajima for the affection of Yoshiki Maruyama. He accuses computer teacher Kenichi Hamaoka, who confesses to planning Segawa’s death. Hamaoka initially helped Segawa after discovering she embezzled funds from her family’s company but feared the consequences and used Mishima as a tool to eliminate her.
