Ep. 20: Kasel meets Pavel and learns his history with King Kyle while the group heads to the World Tree.
Inside a cave, Kasel meets Pavel, an ice sorcerer who previously allied with King Kyle. Frey, Roi, and Cleo break through Pavel’s ice wall to join him. Pavel explains he tested Kasel’s friends to gauge their loyalty before sharing his past. Kyle once asked Pavel for help against the Dark Lord, but vanished during the fight. Defying Lorraine’s objections, Pavel and Dominicus used ice magic to place Kyle’s wife, Arlette, and their unborn child, Kasel, into suspended animation for a hundred years. Pavel regrets the method, but Kasel accepts his life and vows to continue Kyle’s mission. As the Dark Lord’s return nears, Pavel takes the group to the World Tree to awaken the Holy Sword Eia. Meanwhile, Malduk and Maria attempt a summoning ritual that accidentally brings Kyle back instead.
