Maria suspects Kyle came from Angmund's rift until Kyle reveals himself in disguise. Scarlet and Riheet arrive at the Tower of the Sage, where Riheet investigates Illya's lab. Dominicus tells Scarlet that Kasel, King Kyle's hidden biological son, seeks the Holy Sword Eia to save his bloodline. Riheet finds no fake sword, learning Illya actually created protective gear for Kyle. After Illya's death, Orvelia's nobility falsely accused her of insulting goddess Lua to seize power, a lie even exiled dark elves believed. Riheet discovers he is Illya's descendant and his pendant is her completed protective device. With nothing left to lose, Riheet agrees to help Scarlet locate Kasel.
