Overthinking her day keeps her awake, but she sleeps thinking of Tadano’s help. Najimi struggles to study in the library, causing noise that leads to punishment by the assistant librarian. Despite this, everyone passes their exams, leaving Yadano angry that Komi scored higher. During the first week of summer break, both Komi and Tadano feel lonely but hesitate to contact each other. Najimi resolves this by inviting them both to swim at the pool.
